Meriden police issue public safety announcement after four armed robberies in four days

Police in Meriden Sunday issued a public safety announcement following four armed robberies in that city from Oct. 8 to Oct. 11.

The armed robberies during that period occurred at two gas stations and two pizza restaurants, police said. The suspects are considered armed and dangerous, police said.

The cases are being actively investigated by the Meriden Police Department, and while the department is asking for the public’s assistance, it also issued a cautionary note.

The department said:

If you observe suspicious behavior, please stay at a safe distance.
Call 911 immediately,
Note the physical description, clothing, direction of travel,
Note whether the suspect is on foot or in a vehicle,
If possible, obtain a vehicle description and license plate number
Do not intervene
The suspects are considered armed and dangerous.

“Be a good witness and keep yourself safe. If you recognize either individual or their clothing, please contact the Meriden Police Department at 203-630-6201,” police said.
