Officials are working to restore service at the Matteson station after the Metra Electric Line was disrupted due to power issues at substations after a fire, officials said.

In a news release, Metra said all Electric Line trains will originate and terminate at the Matteson station on Friday morning due to continuing power issues affecting the line between the Richton Park and University Park stations.

Metra asks for riders to expect some trains to be annulled during the morning rush and to consult the service alerts at Metra.com before heading out, the release said.
