Clash rescheduled to Wednesday in NC
The Cook Out Clash at Bowman Gray Stadium was rescheduled to Wednesday due to the impacts of Winter Storm Gianna in Winston-Salem and across the North Carolina region.
The postponement “gives us the best opportunity to hold this event with fans at Bowman Gray Stadium while allowing the City of Winston-Salem to dedicate all of their resources to respond to the needs created by this historic weather event,” project lead Justin Swilling said in a release.
Wednesday, NASCAR Cup Series practice and qualifying is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. but will not be on TV. The last-chance qualifier is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. on Fox (WVBT in Hampton Roads), followed by the main event at 6 on Fox.

Girls qualifier at Kellam rescheduled
The VHSL girls wrestling Zone 1 qualifier at Kellam High in Virginia Beach was rescheduled for Sunday, Feb. 15, and Monday, Feb. 16. The doors wiill open at 11 a.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. Monday.

VPCC, Apprentice sidelined after storm
Changes continued in region in the aftermath of Winter Storm Gianna.
In men’s basketball, Virginia Peninsula Community College’s home game against Patrick & Henry CC, of the Martinsville area, at SafeHaven Empowerment Center in Newport News was postponed indefinitely from Sunday.
Also, Apprentice School’s scheduled game against Atlantis of Miami, part of a series of New South Athletic Conference games involving multiple teams at Barber-Scotia’s arena in Concord, North Carolina, was canceled.
COLLEGE MEN’S GYMNASTICS
Tribe loses but posts season-best score
William & Mary posted its best score of the season but lost in a dual meet at Springfield, 310.55-303.1.
Niko Greenly highlighted W&M’s performances in Massachusetts by winning the floor exercise with a career-high 13.6.
Gavin Zborowski was second on rings (12.8) and third on the pommel horse (13.9), Ricky Pizem was second on vault (13.75) and third on the high bar (12.8), Evan Wilkins was second the high bar (12.85) and shared third on the parallel bars (12.7).
