No one knows what will happen in the new year.
But at least in Hampton Roads, no matter what world or personal events 2026 may bring, there will be opportunities to laugh.
A handful of household-name comedians will perform Tidewater shows next year, including Martin Lawrence, Chris Tucker, Mike Epps and John Mulaney.
Martin Lawrence

He starred in the network television comedic sitcom “Martin” from 1992 to 1997. His first role in a major film came in 1989 when director Spike Lee cast Lawrence in his breakthrough film “Do the Right Thing.” Lawrence later starred in hit Hollywood comedies such as “Big Momma’s House” and its sequels and alongside Will Smith in the “Bad Boys” movie series.

Chris Tucker

Tucker made his blockbuster debut in the Hollywood cult classic “Friday” in 1995. He later became a fan favorite for his performances in movies such as the 1997 classics “The Fifth Element” directed by Luc Besson and “Jackie Brown” directed by Quentin Tarantino.
He is perhaps best known for his on-screen role as Detective James Carter in the hit “Rush Hour” film franchise in which he starred opposite Jackie Chan.

John Mulaney
Mulaney, an Emmy-winning comedian, will perform March 12 at Chrysler Hall in Norfolk.

He entered the popular zeitgeist as a writer for “Saturday Night Live” from 2008 to 2013 when he and cast member Bill Hader co-created a popular recurring character, Stefon, performed by Hader on the sketch comedy series. Mulaney is the host, writer and executive producer of his own talk show, “Everybody’s Live with John Mulaney,” on Netflix.
