Norfolk State revealed its full men’s basketball schedule for 2025-26 Monday, highlighted by in-state rivalries and nonconference games against national powerhouses. Coach Robert Jones’ Spartans will play 13 home games at Echols Hall and 18 on the road.
They’ll start with home games against Washington Adventist (Nov. 3), Regent (Nov. 5) and William & Mary (Nov. 8). The Spartans then will play at Old Dominion (Nov. 11) and Towson (Nov. 14).
They will play host to Hampton (Nov. 21) and then head west to play at Wyoming (Nov. 23). They’ll return home for Virginia University of Lynchburg (Nov. 25) before closing out the month against Big 12 contender Arizona in Tucson (Nov. 29).
The Spartans will be on the road through December, starting with James Madison on the 6th and Baylor on the 10th. They’ll go to Atlanta for the Chris Paul HBCU Challenge (Dec. 18-19) to meet Grambling and Jackson State before competing in the Don Haskins Sun Bowl Invitational in El Paso, Texas (Dec. 21-22). Their final game of 2025 will be at Louisiana (Dec. 28) against the Ragin’ Cajuns.
Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference play won’t begin until Jan. 3 at North Carolina Central, and the Spartans will face each of the other seven teams twice apiece. Their only nonconference game during that stretch will be at home Jan. 19 against Division II Elizabeth City State.
A closing stretch at Coppin State (Feb. 28), at Morgan State (March 2) and at home in the regular-season finale against Howard (March 5) figures to be influential in NSU’s seeding for the conference tournament March 11-14 at Scope in Norfolk.
