Two hotels near Lehigh Valley International Airport were recently sold.
The neighboring Sonesta Select and Sonesta ES Suites were purchased for a combined $13.1 million in June, according to Lehigh County real estate records. The buyers are DC Hotels Airport LLC and DC Hotels Allentown LLC, respectively, both based at a private residence in Horsham Township, Montgomery County.
They are at 2160 and 2180 Motel Drive, Bethlehem, just off of Catasauqua Road.

The seller for both properties is HPTMI Properties Trust, which bought them in 1997 from Marriott Management Corp. for a combined $19.2 million.
Before the hotels were built, a 100-room Econo Lodge was at the site. It partially burned down in 1994 and owner Charlene Schwartz decided to demolish the rest and build the hotels.
