A woman is in critical condition after being hit by a car on Route 6 in Bristol late Thursday.
The crash occurred in the area of 820 Farmington Ave. — also known as Route 6 — around 8:30 p.m., according to Lt. Vllaznim Sadriu of the Bristol Police Department.
The pedestrian who was struck was taken to an area hospital and listed in critical condition, Sadriu said. No other injuries were reported.
The crash left Route 6 closed between Mix Street and Missal Avenue while crews were at the scene. Motorists were asked to avoid the area.
The police department’s Serious Traffic Accident Reconstruction Team responded to investigate the crash. The investigation remains ongoing.
