One person was taken to a hospital following a crash involving a pedestrian at a plaza in Hartford on Sunday.

The crash occurred in the Walmart Plaza at 495 Flatbush Ave. where emergency crews responded to the report of a collision involving a pedestrian at 5:17 p.m. and found a woman lying on the ground, according to the Hartford Fire Department.

The woman was conscious and alert at the scene and was taken in an ambulance to a hospital, fire officials said. The extent of her injuries was not immediately clear.

The driver who was involved in the crash stopped and stayed at the scene, fire officials said.

The crash remains under investigation by the Hartford Police Department.
