The first weekend of games in the 2025 Pennsylvania high school football season forced some changes in the state rankings, most notably, St. Joe’s Prep lost 31-28 to a school called American Heritage from Plantation, Florida, and was dropped from first to second in the 6A rankings.
But most of the ranked teams from last week remain highly thought of this week.
Among local teams in the latest list provided by Eric Epler by Pennlive.com, Emmaus’ stay in the Top-10 in Class 6A was short-lived as a 30-0 loss to Neshaminy dropped the Green Hornets out of the rankings.
Also in 6A, Parkland moved up from No. 5 to No. 4, and Easton was placed in the “Teams to watch” list.
In Class 4A, Southern Lehigh holds steady at No. 2.
In Class 3A, Northwestern Lehigh remained No. 1, Notre Dame-Green Pond stayed at No. 4, and perennial District 11 powerhouse North Schuylkill broke in at No. 6.
In Class 2A, District 11 rep Schuylkill Haven moved from No. 2 to No. 1, and Williams Valley went from No. 7 to No. 5.
