PHOTOS: CT K-9 teams undergo arson training in live fire scenarios

Arson dogs and their handlers from the Connecticut State Police and local departments took part in quarterly training exercises at the Connecticut Fire Academy on Wednesday, Sept. 3, 2025. The training includes real fire scenarios, such as burned-out vehicles, to help K-9 teams sharpen their skills in detecting accelerants and locating evidence that may determine the cause of a fire.
