A pedestrian was seriously injured in a hit-and-run crash in Bristol on Wednesday night.
The 63-year-old man was struck by a vehicle on Emmett Street in the area of Broad Street just after 9:10 p.m., according to Lt. Vllaznim Sadriu of the Bristol Police Department.
Sadriu said the man was alert and conscious and was taken in an ambulance to an area hospital for serious injuries.
The driver who was involved took off from the scene, Sadriu said. Police late Wednesday did not have a description of the vehicle.
The crash remains under investigation.
