CHESAPEAKE — Police identified the victim of a shooting in Chesapeake that occurred Nov. 25.

Esean Powell was killed in the shooting. He was 26 years old and a Portsmouth resident.

At about 11 p.m. on Nov. 25, Chesapeake police officers responded to a hotel in the 3200 block of Western Branch Boulevard for a report of a shooting that occurred inside a room. Police then found Powell had been shot and he was transported to a local hospital where he died from his injuries.

This incident is still being investigated.
