Police said evidence at the scene “strongly suggests” the man was hit by a vehicle that was being driven north. Investigators were able to obtain photos and video showing a vehicle that they suspect was involved.
The police department released photos of the vehicle, a white four-door sedan, and are asking the public for help identifying it. The vehicle will likely have damage to its passenger side, police said.
Anyone with information has been asked to contact the Bethel Police Department at 203-744-7900.
