One man was hospitalized following an alleged assault in New London on Sunday evening.
Officers responded to the 200 block of Broad Street around 5:33 p.m. on Sunday for a 911 call reporting a male bleeding heavily from the face, according to the New London Police Department.
Arriving officers immediately located an adult man with facial injuries, police said. A perimeter was established and the man was transported to a local hospital for medical care. The man’s injuries did not appear life-threatening, according to police.
Detectives responded to process the scene, police said. According to police, the incident did not appear to be a random act.
