A pedestrian has died after being hit by a car in Enfield on Thursday.

The crash occurred on Rt 190 — also known as Hazard Avenue — in the area of Glen Arden Lane, according to the Enfield Police Department.

Police said a pedestrian was hit by the driver of a Toyota Camry.

The pedestrian was taken in an ambulance to Johnson Memorial Hospital where they were pronounced dead, according to police. The victim’s name is being withheld while authorities notify their family.

The Camry driver stopped after the crash and cooperated with investigators, police said.

The crash remains under investigation by the Enfield Police Department Traffic Division with assistance from the Metro Traffic Regional Reconstruction Team. Anyone with information is asked to call Officer K. Ragion at 860-763-8920.
