VIRGINIA BEACH — Authorities have opened an investigation after a person was found fatally shot early Saturday morning in the Great Neck area of the city.
Officers were dispatched at 2:15 a.m. to the 400 block of North Great Neck Road, which is around the street’s intersection with Virginia Beach Boulevard and an Interstate 264 overpass.
The unidentified individual was dead upon officers’ arrival, according to the Virginia Beach Police Department.
Police are calling the killing a homicide. No other details have been released.
