Police are looking for a man who stole more than $1,500 from a couple while they were inside a bank in East Hartford on Tuesday.
The elderly couple were in line at Santander Bank on Silver Lane when a man “essentially grabbed the cash” from them and took off on foot, according to Officer Marc Caruso of the East Hartford Police Department.
Caruso said nearly $1,600 was stolen. No injuries were reported, and no weapon was shown.
Police were not able to immediately find the man responsible for the robbery, but they did find a female who was reportedly with him, according to Caruso.
The incident remains under investigation.
