The Maine Mall in South Portland has been evacuated. Police reported shortly after 4 p.m. Wednesday that it is “investigating an active situation at the Maine Mall.” The mall has closed and police are asking people to avoid the area. Police say they are searching the area for a suspect who shot another person inside the mall.
