A popular fast-food restaurant — famous for its chicken fingers — is opening a new location in Connecticut.
The new Raising Cane’s opens Thursday in Milford, its first foray into New Haven County, according to the chain.
The restaurant will open at 1455 Boston Post Road with celebrations and giveaways beginning at 8 a.m., according to the company.
The festivities include, according to the company:
A “Lucky 20” drawing to award 20 customers (age 13 and older) free Cane’s for a year. Entries are accepted from 8 to 9 a.m., with the drawing held shortly after. Customers must be present to win.
The first 100 Combos purchased will receive a commemorative hat and a free Box Combo card. Free Box Combo card valid on return visit.

Before doors open at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Raising Cane’s encourages customers to secure a place in line for giveaways.
DJ Dan Fudim will spin tunes to keep the crowd pumped from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
A check presentation will be made to the Purple Pantry, a non-profit volunteer organization working to help feed community members in need and raise awareness about food insecurity in the area, according to the restaurant chain.
The new Raising Cane’s is open Sunday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to midnight with extended hours Friday and Saturday from 10 to 1 a.m.

A statement from the company noted that Raising Cane’s is one of the fastest-growing restaurant brands, with 900 plus restaurants in more than 40 states.
The company also plans to open more than 100 new restaurants across several new markets in 2025.
Raising Cane’s, founded in Baton Rouge in 1996, serves fried chicken fingers, crinkle-cut French fries and Texas toast. Most known about the eatery is the chicken chain’s signature Cane’s sauce that features a “top secret recipe.”
Connecticut is the second state in New England to host the fast food chain. The company has also expanded in Massachusetts with locations planned for Medford, Framingham, and Saugus, Mass. The first location in New England opened in Boston.
