Former Wyomissing High School star Max Hurleman was cut by the Pittsburgh Steelers on Tuesday as NFL teams whittled their rosters to the 53-man limit.
Hurleman, an undrafted free agent out of Notre Dame, had a good training camp, according to reports.
He played running back, wide receiver and on special teams in training camp, and also has played defensive back in the past.
He caught a touchdown pass in Pittsburgh’s first preseason game.
After playing four years at Colgate, Hurleman used his fifth year of eligibility at Notre Dame.
Hurleman is now a candidate to be added to the Steelers’ practice squad.
