Radiohead announces first new tour dates since 2018, but none for U.S.

Radiohead is on the road again for the first time in seven years, but sadly New York fans will have to travel across the pond to see them.

The critically acclaimed English band, whose hits include “Creep” and “Karma Police,” announced 20 upcoming shows taking place in London and four European cities as 2025 winds to an end.

Radiohead’s tour begins Nov. 4 with four shows in Madrid followed by four concerts in Bologna and four more performances in London. In December, the band will perform four times in Copenhagen followed by four concerts in Berlin.

The three-time Grammy-winning artists last toured behind their 2016 album “A Moon Shaped Pool.” That string of shows included four July 2018 Madison Square Garden concerts that took place weeks before the tour came to a close in Philadelphia.

Radiohead hasn’t announced any newly recorded music, but plans to release “Hail to the Thief — Live Recordings 2003-2009” on Oct. 31.

Singer Thom Yorke called putting together that collection of songs performed live in London, Amsterdam, Buenos Aires and Dublin “cathartic” in an announcement recently posted to Facebook.

“I was shocked by the kind of energy behind the way we played and it really helped me find a way forward,” he said.

Drummer Philip Selway told fans on Facebook and in the band’s email newsletter that he and his four bandmates got together last year to rehearse “just for the hell of it” and the quintet clicked.

“It also made us want to play some shows together, so we hope you can make it to one of the upcoming dates,” he wrote.

Selway said Radiohead has no shows planned after their upcoming tour ends in December, but didn’t rule out adding future dates.
