Evidently the most pressing issue in Connecticut, and maybe the nation, is the sale of the WNBA Connecticut Sun.
I say that because Sen. Richard Blumenthal has once again injected himself in a sporting matter.
Many of your readers may remember his position on Boston College leaving the Big East. His ineffectual saber rattling left a bad taste in the mouths of those conferences that might have invited the Huskies to join.
His lawsuit accomplished nothing except to make our flagship university a pariah among major conferences.
The Mohegan Tribe has enough money and legal help to fight their own battles. The governor of Connecticut has enough authority to participate as he is in the best position to determine what is right for the state.
All Senator Blumenthal can contribute is hollow rhetoric. Senator, go back to the Senate and do some work to reach bi-partisan solutions to problems in our country. That is what you were elected to do.
