Single-engine plane crash north of Williamsburg causes no injuries

Virginia State Police are investigating a single-engine plane crash that occurred north of Wiliamsburg, according to a press release from state police.

The pilot and only occupant were transported to be evaluated and checked out, but have no injuries. The crash occurred at 213 Lightfoot Road, Williamsburg. The plane was coming from Williamsburg regional and on its way to West Point, according to a social media comment from Virginia Statewide Incidents.

The crash was called in at 5:26 p.m., but troopers are still on scene investigating.
