SUFFOLK — Four children are injured following a crash involving a school bus and a cement truck, according to a press release from Suffolk Police.
The crash occurred at approximately 2:20 p.m. and was transporting students from King’s Fork Middle School. It happened in the 500 block of Hillpoint Boulevard, near Godwin Boulevard, and about 1.5 miles from the school.
Three of the four injured students were transported by Suffolk Fire & Rescue to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The fourth was treated and released on-scene.
The driver of the cement truck was issued a notice to appear in court.
Police say this is an ongoing investigation and Suffolk Police have not released any additional information at this time.
