This is “Small Bites,” a South Florida Sun Sentinel feature with tiny tidbits on the food and beverage scene — because we know that sometimes you just don’t have room for a long article. You want a little news brief instead, an amuse bouche of information, if you will. Enjoy!
WHAT: The theme of the fourth annual Taste of CityPlace will be “The Art of Flavor.”
That’s fitting for the bite-by-bite foodie fest where a host of Palm Beach County eateries will serve up samples at the open-air shopping, dining and entertainment collection of venues owned by developer Related Ross.
“‘The Art of Flavor’ is a tribute to the passion and craftsmanship of the chefs and restaurateurs — some of them newly Michelin-recognized — who have taken part in shaping CityPlace as a landmark of culinary excellence,” said Eileen Sturgis, director of marketing at Related Ross.
Moody Tongue Sushi at the Hilton West Palm Beach was recommended by Michelin this year. And Pushkar Marathe (who was recognized for his concept Stage) will participate with his Ela Curry & Cocktails, which he is opening soon at CityPlace.
New this year will be a VIP lounge with sushi samplings by Moody Tongue Sushi and a bar by True Food Kitchen. There will also be a DJ and a Dryvebox indoor golf simulator.

The event will benefit the Palm Beach County Food Bank, a nonprofit addressing regional hunger issues.
“We’re honored to engage the community in this meaningful way, and even more so that we can amplify the Palm Beach County Food Bank’s vital mission to fight hunger through this platform,” Sturgis said.
