A decade-old staple at Promenade Saucon Valley has closed its doors for good.
A sign Sunday on the Upper Saucon Township shopping center restaurant’s entrance announced the news.
“Thank you for the many memories!” the sign said.
The Promenade location opened in 2015, when it replaced Shula’s Steak House.
The closure follows Bar Louie’s Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing in March, and a bankruptcy filing in 2020.
With the Promenade restaurant’s closure, the nationwide chain has only one other Pennsylvania location, in Pittsburgh, according to its website, and just over 40 restaurants in the country.
Restaurateurs Roger Greenfield and Ted Kasemir opened the original Bar Louie in 1990 in Chicago.
Other recent Promenade news includes the openings of the Color Me Mine pottery painting studio and the Luxe Events & Designs studio.
