The Big E is launching a new Museum Partner Program, according to the event organizers, running from Sept. 12-28.
“Storrowton Village Museum on the grounds of Eastern States Exposition (ESE) will introduce the Museum Partner Program at The Big E, Sept. 12-28,” according to a statement. “This initiative brings museums and historical societies from across New England to the fairgrounds, allowing these organizations to tell their stories and garner support.”
“Fairgoers will find visiting museums and historical societies at Storrowton Village Museum, nestled between the Gilbert Farmhouse and the Eddy Law Office, during The Big E,” the organizer’s statement said. “Representatives from each group will demonstrate historic trades, display artifacts, offer hands-on activities for children and discuss the significance of their organization. Each society’s mission is unique, which means there is no shortage of knowledge to obtain.”

“Museums across New England are the cornerstone of our communities,” said Samantha DePergola, ESE’s Assistant Director of Education & Human Resources.
“They provide programming for all ages at little to no cost, preserve heritage and offer accessible learning opportunities. Partnership in the museum industry is crucial to its survival—without partnership, museums risk a shortage of volunteers and funding. The Museum Partnership Program offers museums a rare opportunity to connect with a wider audience.”
