These 5 Lehigh Valley establishments accused of liquor law violations

Five Lehigh Valley establishments were cited in September by the the state Bureau of Liquor Control Enforcement for alleged liquor law violations.

Licensees will have a chance to defend themselves against the citations before an administrative law judge, who may impose fines between $50 to $1,000 for minor violations, or up to $5,000 for more serious offenses. The judge may also suspend or revoke business licenses or mandate training.

The following businesses were cited:

Lehigh County

1869 South 4th LLC, Allentown: Allegedly failed to have board-approved manager complete necessary training between May 27 and July 9.

Egypt Veterans Home Association, Whitehall: Allegedly operated or possessed gambling devices or paraphernalia or permitted gambling on premises on Feb. 23, March 30, April 30 and June 14, violating the liquor code.

Northampton County

Puerto Rican Beneficial Society, Bethlehem: Allegedly operated or possessed gambling devices or paraphernalia or permitted gambling on premises on March 11, violating the liquor code.

Bethel Brewing and Spirits, Mount Bethel: Allegedly failed to return limited distillery license to the board between Jan. 22 and Aug. 13 after the establishment had not been open for 15 consecutive days; and allegedly failed to have board-approved manager complete necessary training within 180 days of board approval.

OBT Restaurant, Bethlehem: Allegedly failed to notify board of a change of manager between March 3 and Aug. 19.
