A threatening message to an Upper Bucks municipal employee prompted officials to postpone a meeting scheduled earlier this week.
State police were informed Monday that a Haycock Township municipal employee had received the message. That prompted the township supervisors meeting, scheduled for that night, to be postponed, according to a state police news release.
Trooper Nathan Branosky, a state police spokesman, said Thursday that there was no additional information to release on the threat. The township said in a social media post that the meeting was canceled because of an emergency.
The cancelation was made about an hour before the meeting was scheduled, according to a report from the Bucks County Herald. The report states police had been called to Supervisor Linda Levinski’s home. She told the publication she could not comment on the incident because the investigation is active.
Anyone with information on the threat is asked to contact police at 215-249-9191.
