• If the undeveloped lot next door has towering old trees that will fall through my house in a stiff wind, shouldn’t I have the right to have them cut down at the lot owner’s expense?
• When you opened your car door right by my mailbox and let your dog out, he pooped. You didn’t clean it up. You brought him in my garage during our garage sale. You should have kept him in the car. Several people stepped in the poop and tracked it on the driveway and in my garage. I said nothing because I was shocked by your inconsideration! And you didn’t buy anything!
• When a suspect is barricaded or holed up in a house, instead of a heavy police presence, the cops should back off so adrenaline can slow down. The suspect will have to come out eventually, and the police could be attending to other issues and a better use of resources. Cops should rarely engage in high-speed vehicle chases; they can and will eventually get the suspect who got away.
• I’m ticked off at companies that clutter subdivision entrances with their advertising signs. I refuse to be a customer of those businesses. Several neighbors feel the same way.
The flip side
• Thank you to Jacob, who was our waiter at Sonny’s BBQ restaurant on South Semoran Boulevard. He is a very pleasant and helpful person who provided excellent customer service.
