Ticked Off! @insurance commercials

I’m so ticked off at the insurance company that thinks it will generate business by showing the idiotic ads on TV.  I’ve got news for them. I canceled my insurance with them because I don’t think it is funny to cause accidents to get business.  I will never have Allstate insurance again.
Thanks to the writer who pointed out that the grammar of the Second Amendment clearly permits the formation of militias to protect against enemies against the nation. It doesn’t address ownership of, or limitations on, automatic rapid-fire weapons, that didn’t exist. That leaves the responsibility for the government to place limitations on personal ownership of  dangerous weapons that didn’t exist when the Second Amendment was created. “Well regulated” means that the weapons are under control of the militias that by necessity are under the control of the duly elected government.
I am ticked off because the Orlando Sentinel covers high school and college football in depth and barely mentions the NFL!

The flip side

In these turbulent times, it is lovely to see that trick-or-treat hasn’t changed much over my past 70 years. Different kids. Different candies. Different costumes. But same fun and excitement for the whole family. Most young goblins are polite and grateful.
Thank you to Izzy at the Carrabba’s on Lee Vista Boulevard, who was very sweet and provided excellent customer service. I dined there for lunch and had their $9.99 special of all-you-can-eat soup, salad and bread. Their chicken soup is the best.
