So my recyclables were picked up, but they didn’t drop the bin back down on the street. My assumption is it got “recycled,” as my trash bin disappeared once years ago. I called and would you believe you now have to file a police report as a theft? You have to go online and fill out a report, get a tracking number, then call them back to report it! Then they will file it and hopefully your replacement comes in seven to 10 days. Talk about an added waste of time!
I’m ticked off that nobody at work is doing any work! It’s like the holidays turn brains to mush. Correct me if I’m wrong, but our days off are not until Dec. 24 and 25. Yet, people are coming in and giving half effort or not even coming in at all and taking their PTO and giving themselves a multiple-week vacation. Back in the day, we took Christmas Eve and Christmas Day off. If the boss was feeling generous, we got to leave early on the 23rd. And we were appreciative of that!
The flip side
Thanks to all the homeowners featured in the Sentinel’s Twinkly Awards for going all out. And, to everybody else, even if you only put up a strip or two of lights, everybody helps turn our neighborhoods into a Christmas joy.
I went to Valvoline at the corner of Lake Underhill and Chickasaw to get an oil change. Victor and Luis were very professional, polite and efficient. I really appreciate their efforts.
