I’m ticked off at the local news stations. When reporting a story, I really don’t care if you’re “the first one on the scene” or if you’re “the only station covering the story” or if it’s an “exclusive.” I don’t watch you because you were the first or only one there. I realize this has been going on for decades, but I don’t think people really care. They care more about how you report the story. So, just report the story, please?
When you have a chance to put a top-10 team away, as the Gators did with Texas, you go back to the same old Gator football. Interceptions, cannot move the ball on the ground. You were stymied at 29 points for most of the second half. You have a coach who has the worst three-year record in Gator football history back to the early 1950s. He still needs to go. The team would have to win out to have any chance of Billy ball remaining in Gainesville.
The flip side
Thank you to my newspaper delivery guy in the Gatlin Place subdivision. He ties the plastic bag so the paper does not get wet when he throws it in my driveway when it is raining.
I recently went to Mall of Millenia to look for a fancy dress, and I was dressed so sloppily and my hair was wet from the rain. I thought that the salespeople might treat me differently because of how I looked, but every single one of them treated me is if I was wearing designer clothes. I want to thank each and every one of you for the time you took to help me, but especially for treating me the way that you did. You definitely know how to make people feel that they matter.
