Ticked Off! @NFL ties

I am ticked off that the NFL has some archaic rule that allows for a tie as witnessed in the Cowboys-Packers game Sunday night. A tie? Americans don’t like ties in sports. We like wins and despise losses. If the players are too worn out, then I suggest the teams flip a coin or play rock-paper-scissors to determine a winner. You want a tie? Watch a soccer match!
I’m ticked off that some people do not grasp that free speech only protects them from government. Free speech does not protect from employers, clients, spouses, family, friends or enemies. Feel free to speak your mind freely at your workplace, home, or neighborhood and see how that works out for you. Good luck with that.
The rules on parking for people with disabilities are a cruel joke. Every day at the gym, I see able-bodied young men, always men, parking in those spaces before they go in to work out. I see them as I hobble by on the long walk to the entrance. I never see LEO issue tickets there or anywhere else.

The flip side

Thank you to the VA and Christine and Colleen at Publix in Winter Park Village for helping me get my COVID/flu shots …  very professional.
I recently had back surgery done at Orlando Health, and I must commend everyone who works there!  From the front desk people, cheerful even at 5 a.m., to the nurses, technicians, doctors, meal deliverers — everyone was professional, informative, helpful and, especially, compassionate.  A special shoutout to the nurses and nursing assistants on the 14th floor, and my amazing doctor, Stephen Weber.  Orlando Health is a wonder!
