In the spirit of starting 2026 on a positive note, we present all flip side comments today:
I am on a very expensive medication, even with insurance. I was holding off purchasing the medication since my new Part D insurance cost is less expensive than my current one. I went to the store Christmas Eve to have it filled anyway. The pharmacist asked if I knew how much the medication cost. I said yes and she asked if I wanted to check on getting a one-month supply. I said sure, although when I checked it was still expensive. Lo and behold, her cost was much less than one-third of the cost of the three-month supply. A pharmacist going out of the way to check pricing is noteworthy, particularly on a busy day when closing early. Jamie was a gem helping me save money and is not alone in the good-deed category at Walgreens in Sanford. Ryan has helped a number of times searching for the lowest cost. May the ones who bless others be blessed this holiday season!”
I take delight in reading the rants every week. As 2025 draws to an end, I would like to thank my fellow scribes for contributions to Ticked Off! They have been, at times, insightful, interesting, intelligent, even humorous. I may not always agree with their gripes, but it’s intriguing to see what’s bothering my neighbors.
I love that Magic 107.7 FM has continued to mix Christmas music with their regular programming the week after Christmas. I’ve found it silly that we spend two or three months building up to this holiday only to shut down everything about it on Dec. 26. Let’s keep the celebration going through New Year’s Day!
