Ticked Off! @renewal notifications

To the person and other people who complain about the commercials being too loud (I do agree that they are much too loud): You say you need to hit the volume switch many times and turn it way down, then have to hit the switch again many times to get the volume up when the show resumes. I have a solution for you. There’s a button on your remote called a “mute” switch. When you press this switch, the volume goes off completely. Then, when your program begins again, all you do is push that switch again and the volume returns to the exact setting you had before.
I just received a letter from Sports Illustrated reading “Renewal notification: It’s time to renew your subscription to S.I.  Act now!”  This subscription expires April 26.
To the person complaining about Florida drivers, have you ever driven in Chicago, New York City or Los Angeles?
I have to add my disappointment that we now have “Ask Eric.”  Am I the only one who wishes that he would tell people to just mind their own business?

The flip side

I would like to thank everyone in advance, home and business owners, for turning off the exterior lights to your homes and businesses for the fall migration of birds over the next six weeks.  It is estimated that 1-2 billion birds are killed every year from building strikes when the birds become disoriented from artificial light sources.  Please help the birds along their way and turn off your lights.
