Ticked off! @tipping craze

I am so ticked off at the tipping craze. I ordered through an app some takeout food. The app shows a spot for you to add a tip. So, I did and when I went to get my food, the server gave me another form so I could add another tip. What is that? This was a takeout. Will the tip go to the cook, who placed the food in the container? What’s next , fast foods asking for you to tip even though you are going through the drive-thru? What about oil change attendants? Will they ask for a tip next? What about the garbage man? The post office? The person who cleans the gutters? The receptionist at the doctor’s office? It is bad enough that eating out is almost prohibitive to add to the bill. Just crazy!
Why is there a sign that says “Historic Winter Park”? Winter Park is more historic than Celebration, but you won’t see signs like that when entering Jerusalem, Rome, Athens or other truly historic cities. Even St. Augustine doesn’t need to tell visitors their town is historic.
Roads in Central Florida are rife with potholes, potholes and cracks lumped up by over-filled tar, stop signs hidden by overgrown trees/bushes, and sunken or, worse, raised manhole covers, et al. These obstacles are hazards to cars, and more so to two wheel vehicles. With, likely, thousands of government employees driving these roads, these issues should be regularly reported to road municipal managers and our elected officials for proper and timely repair. Do they not care?
Kudos to Cracker Barrel for listening to the criticism about not going to their new format and changing it back to the way it’s been for all these years. Can the Sentinel listen to all the complaints about the new Digital Edition and change it back to the way it was? We hope so!

The flip side

Really enjoyed Acropolis Greek Taverna for Magical Dining. Portions were huge, food was amazing and our server was the best we’ve had in Orlando! Get the Tuxedo Bomb for dessert. Parking is validated in the garage right next door.
