What if I forced you to hear my 25 favorite songs ad nauseam, 16 hours a day, everywhere you went, for an entire month? Then you’d know how I feel about being unable to escape the same 25 Christmas songs every December in stores, offices, TV, radio, commercials, restaurants, year after year … all designed to guilt you into buying gifts.
I am so ticked off that I spent 15 minutes of my life watching an episode of “Yellowstone.” How did this TV show become so popular? I’ve seen better acting on the Hallmark channel. Oh, and by the way, a note to Kevin Costner: The cowboy code of etiquette calls for men to remove their hats while indoors. “Yellowstone,” all hat, no cattle.
It’s bad enough being put on hold for 20 minutes for your company call that “is very important to us” (cough, gag, choke, snort), but who on earth selected that awful music you’re forced to endure? Their office should play it all day so they know our hold experience.
The flip side
I would like to thank the Lyman High School dance team and coaches for a beautiful performance Friday evening. It was wonderful and very moving. Thank you for inviting the Milwee dance team to perform with you. They loved being there and learned from you. Bravo.
Thank you to my mom for reminding me that I can wrap my Christmas gifts in the comics section of the Orlando Sentinel newspaper and clip the holiday comics to include in my Christmas cards.
