The mother of “Today” show host Savannah Guthrie has been reported missing in Arizona.

Nancy Guthrie, 84, was reported missing over the weekend, according to the Pima County Sheriff’s Department. She was last seen Saturday night in the Catalina Foothills area around 9:45 p.m.

A family member reported Nancy missing Sunday around noon, Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos said. An NBCUniversal spokesperson confirmed Monday that she is the mother of Savannah Guthrie, who has co-anchored NBC’s morning show since 2012.

ABC reports a search is ongoing, with assistance from homicide teams and detectives. Foul play is not being ruled out at this time, Nanos said.

“Ms. Guthrie is 84 years old and is not of good physical health and so naturally we have some great concerns,” Nanos said. “The scene at the house also has some concerns for us as well.”

Nanos said Guthrie’s family described Nancy as having some physical ailments, but no cognitive issues.

Nancy Guthrie is described as 5′5″ and about 150 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes. Anyone with information should contact the Pima County Sheriff’s Office at (520) 351-4900.

“We can confirm this is a missing persons case, and the family is working closely with local law enforcement,” an NBC spokesperson said in a statement. “The family is grateful for the outreach, thoughts and prayers.”

Savannah Guthrie has not publicly commented on the case. She previously paid tribute to her mom on her 80th birthday.

“She has met unthinkable challenges in her life with grit, without self-pity, with determination, and always, always with unshakeable faith,” Savannah said in 2022.
