Trans-Bridge Lines is expanding its bus service from the Lehigh Valley to Newark Liberty International Airport.
The bus line said the two additional runs will begin Sept. 8. They are being added because United Airlines has ceased Landline bus service between Lehigh Valley International Airport and Newark Airport.
Schedules on the Trans-Bridge Lines website show six eastbound runs between the Lehigh Valley and Newark airports on weekdays: 4 a.m., 7:40 a.m., 9:45 a.m. 12:20 p.m., 2:10 p.m., and 5:30 p.m. On weekends, five runs are scheduled: 4 a.m., 7:35 a.m., 9:45 a.m., 11:35 a.m., and 5:50 p.m.
In addition to the Lehigh Valley and Newark airport stops, the service includes some stops at Allentown Transportation Center, Bethlehem Transportation Center, Easton Intermodal Transportation Center and the William Penn Highway Park and Ride off Route 33.
Additionally, Trans-Bridge is resuming service to the Cape Liberty Cruise Port in Bayonne, New Jersey, also on Sept. 8.
“Listening to the needs of our passengers has always been at the heart of our operations,” said Trans-Bridge President Tom JeBran. “With the need for reliable airport transportation and requests for service to Cape Liberty Cruise Port, we are proud to step in and provide these options. Our goal is to keep the Lehigh Valley and surrounding communities connected to the destinations they most use.”
Full schedules and ticket information are available on the Trans-Bridge Lines website at www.transbridgelines.com. Passengers may purchase Newark Airport tickets online from the company’s home page and Pier Transportation to Bayonne may be reserved by calling 610-868-6001.
