Travelers Championship sets record by generating $4 million for charity

This year’s Travelers Championship was a success on the course, highlighted by a dramatic come-from-behind finish by New England’s own Keegan Bradley, at the ticket office, with an estimated 200,000 in attendance, and with the 245 charities it benefits, generating a record amount for charity.

The tournament announced Thursday that it donated $4 million to those charities, which include the Fidelco Guide Dog Foundation, Literacy Volunteers of Greater Hartford and Luke Roux Foundation.

“Setting charity records is a feather in the cap for the 2025 Travelers Championship,” tournament director Nathan Grube said at an event announcing the donations. “These important results wouldn’t be possible without the hard work and support from Travelers, the tournament’s other corporate sponsors, our invaluable volunteers and incredible fans. This collective effort allows us to have a real impact on organizations that are critical to our communities.”

Bradley, who won the tournament for the second time in three years, sent a video message for those in attendance at the event.

“Being a two-time champion means the world to me. It means even more knowing how much the tournament helps nonprofits in need and the positive impact the Travelers Championship has on the region.”

Bradley is currently serving as the U.S. captain at this week’s Ryder Cup at Bethpage Black in N.Y.

The tournament has generated more than $35 million for over 1,000 nonprofits across the region since 2007, donating 100% of its net proceeds to charity, according to a press release. Next year’s event will take place June 22-28 at TPC River Highlands in Cromwell.
