Two gunmen open fire in Greewich Village park, cops on the hunt

Police are searching for two men who opened fire in broad daylight at a Greenwich Village park Wednesday, cops said.

Police rushed to James J. Walker Park near Clarkson and Hudson Sts, after a man dressed in a camouflage hoodie and another male suited up in a blue tracksuit fired off shots around 3:42 p.m., cops said, adding it was unclear what sparked the gunfire, and no one was injured.

The two shooters ran away on Hudson St. and remained on the loose Wednesday night.
