Democrat incumbent Del. Nadarius Clark will keep his seat for another two-year term representing Virginia House District 84, according to unofficial election results tallied Tuesday night.

Clark had faced a challenge from Republican Felisha R.L. Storm for the seat. Clark earned 61% of the votes with four precincts reporting. Results are unofficial until the election is certified in the coming weeks.

While Suffolk makes up about 77% of the overall district, it also encompasses parts of Franklin, Isle of Wight and Chesapeake. The district leaned Democratic heading into the November election, according to the Virginia Public Access Project. Election data available on Tuesday showed that Clark won parts of the district in Chesapeake and Suffolk. Storm took more voters in Isle of Wight County.

Clark, a consultant who won the seat in 2022, previously said his top priorities if reelected include raising teachers’ pay and boosting retention.
