Week 6 Football Rewind: Seminole rips Brantley; DP’s Zion Matthews scores 6 TDs

It was supposed to be the game in which Lake Brantley was going to show it was ready to shake things up in Class 7A, District 3. Seminole had different plans Friday night.

The Seminoles (3-3) rolled past previously unbeaten Brantley 43-21, led by J’len Chaplin, who was playing quarterback for the first time. Chaplin ran for 155 yards and 4 touchdowns, and threw for 198 yards and another TD.

Edgewater, No. 1 in the Sentinel’s Super 16 Coaches Poll, remained unbeaten at 6-0, rolling up what is believed to be a school-record 84 points against outmanned Lyman. No. 2 Bishop Moore moved to 5-0 after a 29-20 win over Tampa Catholic. No. 6 Boone remained unbeaten at 6-0 with a 35-7 victory over Timber Creek.
