Rich Port Coffee held a grand opening celebration for its South Norfolk location in Chesapeake in December. The coffeehouse serves java from Puerto Rico in honor of the owner’s heritage. Miguel Diaz, a Navy veteran, started roasting his own coffee at Selden Market, where he took wholesale and online orders, in 2021. Two years later, he opened a kiosk inside the Truist building in downtown Norfolk.

The business also roasts coffee from Colombia, El Salvador and Mexico, according to its website. It also sells pastries and local products.
