Wolf Pack regular-season roster features pair of former AHL All-Stars in Fix-Wolansky, Pouliot

The Hartford Wolf Pack roster for the the start of the 2025-26 season is set with 15 forwards, nine defensemen and two goaltenders, the team announced on Friday.

The Wolf Pack will open on Saturday night at the Wilkes-Barre Scranton Penguins at 6:05 p.m.

As coach Grant Potulny enters his second season, the team he will try and lead back to the AHL postseason has a number of familiar faces from last year, as well as several new ones. Among the new arrivals are a pair of veterans the parent New York Rangers signed over the summer in right wing Trey Fix-Wolansky and defenseman Derek Pouliot.

Fix-Wolansky spent the last six seasons in the Columbus Blue Jackets’ organization. He had 26 goals and 34 assists in 2024-25 and his 60 points for the Cleveland Monsters of the AHL tied for 13th. He has been an AHL All-Star the last two seasons.

In Pouliot, Hartford gets a veteran of 226 NHL games with a number of different teams. The No. 8 overall pick in the 2012 NHL Draft by Pittsburgh, he had 53 points (7 goals, 46 assists) in 70 games last season for the AHL’s Syracuse Crunch. Pouliot is a three-time AHL All-Star (2015, ’16, ’20).

Also on the roster are several returning veterans, including left wing Anton Blidh, center Dylan Roobroeck and goalie Dylan Garand.

After advancing to the AHL Atlantic Division finals in 2022-23 and 2023-24, Hartford missed out on the postseason last year with a 30-33-7-2 finish, good for seventh in the division.  The Wolf Pack open the home portion of their schedule on Oct. 17 against Wilkes-Barre at 7 p.m. at PeoplesBank Arena.
