Rainy Thursday could result in minor flooding for some Central Florida areas

Rain chances are high across Central Florida.

Thunderstorms and showers are possible before 11 a.m., more likely between 11 a.m. and 4 p.m., with more showers and storms possible after 4 p.m., according to NWS Melbourne.

Localized rainfall accumulations could result in minor flooding of urban and low-lying areas.

Skies are expected to be mostly sunny, with temperatures in the mid-80s.

A Small Craft Advisory is in effect for the coastal waters of east Central Florida.

There is also a High Surf Advisory at all Atlantic beaches, according to NWS Melbourne.

Breaking waves of 5 to 8 feet are at local beaches in addition to a high risk of rip currents.
