A teenager was hit by a car in Meriden on Thursday evening and taken to the hospital for a head injury.
The crash occurred in the area of West Main Street and Home Avenue where officers found that a 14-year-old was hit by a vehicle while crossing the street, according to the Meriden Police Department.
The teen suffered a minor head injury that was not considered life-threatening, police said. The teen was taken in an ambulance to a hospital.
Police said the driver stayed at the scene and has been cooperative.
The crash remains under investigation.
