A Vernon man has been arrested after police allege that they found him with more than 900 images involving child sexual abuse.
Danny Brock, 61, was arrested last Tuesday and charged with one count of first-degree possession of child pornography, according to Lt. Robert Marra of the Vernon Police Department.
Marra said the arrest came after an investigation was initiated in August following a report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. The following month, police carried out a search warrant at Brock’s residence and seized electronic items, according to Marra.
A forensic examination of the devices allegedly turned up more than 900 images of child sexual abuse materials, Marra said. Authorities then obtained a warrant for Brock’s arrest.
He was held on a $800,000 bond and was expected to appear in Superior Court in Rockville last Wednesday.
The case remains under investigation.
