What Did They Get Right?

What Did They Get Right?

Reflecting on the last three years of terror, torment, and totalitarianism, a tweet from Justin Hart got us thinking.

He asked a simple thought-provoking question about COVID“Did ‘they’ get a single thing right?”

We must admit we struggled to find a single thing ‘they’ got right, but here are some of Justin’s thoughts:

  • Transmission of the disease – wrong

  • Asymptomatic spread – wrong

  • PCR testing – wrong

  • Fatality rate – wrong

  • Lockdowns – wrong

  • Community triggers – wrong

  • Business closures – wrong

  • School closures – wrong

  • Quarantining healthy people – wrong

  • Impact on youth – wrong

  • Hospital overload – wrong

  • Plexiglass barriers – wrong

  • Social distancing – wrong

  • Outdoor spread – wrong

  • Masks – wrong

  • Variant impact – wrong

  • Natural immunity – wrong

  • Vaccine efficacy – wrong

  • Vaccine injury – wrong

Anything, ‘Bueller’?

As Hart so eloquently and succinctly puts it: “To repeat. They. Got. EVERYTHING. Wrong!”

Which is interesting because as we were writing this post, the world’s richest man – with access to all the ‘dissent’-crushing communications – replied to a timely question…

At his ‘Rational Ground’ Substack, Hart lays out his views on what actually happened with COVID

Every year humans endures a “flu season” – a period denoting the high-water mark of that year’s wave of respiratory viral pathogens.

Believe it or not we still have strains of the 1889 Russian flu, the 1918 Spanish flu, the 1957 Asian flu, the 1968 Hong Kong Flu, the 2009 H1N1 virus – all these various strains of nasty bugs rear their head every single year.

In late 2019, a new “novel” pathogen appeared on the scene – a bug from the “Coronavirus” family (“corona” describing the spike-like structure of the particles.)

The official title was SARS-CoV-2. SARS = “severe acute respiratory syndrome”; CoV-2 = “Coronavirus 2.” This particular virus can cause a disease called COVID-19 (“Coronavirus Disease 2019”). The disease is thought to have originated in China and found significant human-to-human transmission. It is thought to be “novel” because prior infections of other pathogens do not seem to creative anti-bodies to tackle this newfound disease within the human body.

Officials raised alarms about the potential mortality witnessed from COVID-19. Governments across the world scrambled to address and protect their populations from what quickly became a pandemic.

Efforts ranged from stringent to downright authoritarian. Results were mixed to say the least. In early 2022, it was thought that SARS-Cov-2 and COVID-19 would join the panoply of viruses and diseases we experience during the annual ebb and flow of life.

That’s the short sterile version of what transpired.

Here’s what actually happened:

  • Global elites had ramped up significant efforts to reshape the world to address a host of inequalities and imagined boogeymen like climate change.

  • These global elites were bolstered by a host of corrupt institutions which included the WHO (“World Health Organization”), big pharmaceutical companies, and world wealth and health players like Bill Gates.

  • With the emergence of a new virus these groups pounced at the vulnerable moment to put their plans into action and retool the world with a host of proposals – this was known as The Great Reset. The Coronavirus response was just the first sortie in this plan.

  • Governments across the world, under the threat of serious mortality (real or imagined), caved to the plan of action which utilized never-before imagined cram downs on individual rights, massive financial expenses, and enhanced authority overhauls to set the stage for a shift of power.

  • Free speech, right to assembly, right to bodily autonomy, representative government all fell within months of the first COVID-19 cases announced in almost every country.

Study Reveals America’s Top ‘Dirtiest’ Cities Are Run By Democrats

Study Reveals America’s Top ‘Dirtiest’ Cities Are Run By Democrats

A new study revealed Democrat mayors run America’s top filthiest cities. None of this should come as a surprise to readers.

Outdoor company LawnStarter commissioned a survey that analyzed 152 of the largest cities across the US for pollution, living conditions, infrastructure, and consumer satisfaction. They found Houston, Texas, secured the number 1 spot for the dirtiest city, followed by Newark, New Jersey; San Bernardino, California; Detroit, Michigan; and Jersey City, New Jersey.

We then dug deeper and found Democratic mayors run the top five dirtiest.

  • Houston: Democratic Mayor Sylvester Turner

  • Newark: Democratic Mayor Ras Baraka

  • San Bernadino: Democratic Party-endorsed Mayor Helen Tran

  • Detroit: Democratic Mayor Mike Duggan

  • Jersey City: Democratic Mayor Steven Fulop

Here are the top ten dirtiest cities:

On the flip side, LawnStarter found Republican Mayor Bobby Dyer of Virginia Beach ran the cleanest city in the US.

Florida teacher’s aide violently attacked after taking student’s Nintendo Switch

Deputies in Florida released surveillance video of a student attacking a high school teacher’s aide after she took away his Nintendo Switch during class.

The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office said that the physical incident happened at Matanzas High School in Palm Coast, Florida, on Tuesday, and said that a 17-year-old was taken into custody and charged with felony aggravated assault with bodily harm.

Deputies say that a female teacher’s aide took the Nintendo Switch away from him during class, which made him upset. According to WESH-TV, the teenager is considered a special needs student.

Surveillance video released by the school shows the 6’6″ and 270 pound student running up to the teacher’s aide, pushing her to the ground, then continuing to punch and kick her.

FLORIDA STUDENT ARRESTED FOR ALLEGEDLY ATTACKING SCHOOL EMPLOYEE WHO TOOK NINTENDO SWITCH: POLICE

The student is seen on video continuing to punch the employee for several seconds until a group of people are seen forcibly removing him.

Video shows that the teacher’s aide laying on the floor for several minutes before getting up.

Sheriff Rick Staly said that the teacher could have been killed, according to WESH.

“This could have been a homicide,” Staly said. “When you push people down like that, they hit their head, you never know the outcome.”

Body camera video shows the student saying “f–k you” to one of the deputies before he was arrested.

“I don’t want to go to jail,” the suspect said.

An arrest report states that the student was upset that the paraprofessional took the game away, stating that he “will beat her up every time she takes away his game,” according to FOX 35.

The teacher’s aide was taken to a local hospital and was released. She’s believed to have broken ribs and significant bruising, but the sheriff’s office doesn’t know the full extent of her injuries.

“I believe she will be out of work for at least several weeks, if she even plans on returning,” the sheriff’s office wrote.

“The actions of this student are absolutely horrendous and completely uncalled for,” Staly said. “We hope the victim will be able to recover, both mentally and physically, from this incident. Thankfully, students and staff members came to the victim’s aid before the SRDs could arrive. Our schools should be a safe place – for both employees and students.”

U.S. dismisses China’s Ukraine peace proposal as an attempt to distract

U.S. officials are scoffing at Beijing’s much-anticipated Ukraine peace proposal and urging the world not to get distracted from the imminent threat of China supplying lethal weapons to Russia.

China’s 12-point “Position on the Political Settlement of the Ukraine Crisis,” published Thursday, asserts vague support for “sovereignty,” “ceasing hostilities” and “resuming peace talks,” without specific proposals on achieving those goals.

Secretary of State Antony Blinken told ABC News on Friday that it showed China trying to draw the world’s eyes away from its support of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“China’s been trying to have it both ways — it’s on the one hand trying to present itself publicly as neutral and seeking peace, while at the same time it is talking up Russia’s false narrative about the war,” Blinken said. “There are 12 points in the Chinese plan. If they were serious about the first one, sovereignty, then this war could end tomorrow.”

Those comments echoed remarks from President Joe Biden’s national security adviser, Jake Sullivan, the day before. “My first reaction to it is that it could stop at point one, which is to respect the sovereignty of all nations … this was a war of choice waged by Putin,” Sullivan told CNN on Thursday.

The proposal itself falls short of what Beijing had promised. China’s top diplomat Wang Yi touted last week that the plan would include “important propositions” from Chinese paramount leader Xi Jinping “conducive to a peaceful resolution of the conflict.” Instead it mostly restates Beijing’s existing positions on the war by linking it to the Kremlin’s “legitimate security concerns.”

The timing, however, is significant. The proposal comes after Blinken warned this week that China is considering providing lethal weaponry to Moscow to use against Ukraine.

And world leaders are coming out en masse to counter China’s messaging. Beijing’s peace proposal “doesn’t have much credibility because they have not been able to condemn the illegal invasion of Ukraine,” NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said on Friday. The EU would consider China’s proposals “against the backdrop that China has taken sides,” said European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen. Beijing helped earn that distrust by abstaining from a United Nations’ resolution on Thursday demanding that Russia immediately withdraw from Ukraine.

Beijing’s proposal doesn’t reference Russia as the conflict’s aggressor or demand that Putin stop the war. Instead it calls for Kyiv and Moscow to “exercise restraint” and says it supports “promoting talks for peace.” The Chinese government also distances itself from leading such efforts by limiting its participation to a hands-off “constructive role.”

“The Chinese are running up against the problem that their buddy Russia has a maximalist position [on Ukraine] and is not going to budge,” said Daniel Fried, former assistant secretary of State for European and Eurasian affairs and now a distinguished fellow at the Atlantic Council. “But instead of pushing the Russians, they’re coming up with mush.”

That rhetoric could have impact in other parts of the globe, said Alexander Gabuev, senior fellow at the Carnegie Moscow Center. He argued that the U.S. and European officials lashing out at the proposal may not be its intended audience.

China can now market the plan in the global south as proof of Beijing’s dedication to peace and tell the U.S. and its allies “It’s your job to convince the Ukrainians [to stop fighting] — our mission here is accomplished,” Gabuev said.

The document’s publication means “China gets a PR victory upfront without doing anything,” Gabuev said.
